12-Hour CE Package
12 hours of Illinois Required and Elective Continuing Education

The Illinois Real Estate Division requires a licensed Salesperson to complete 12 hours of CE every two years, including 6 hours of the mandatory Core A & Core B course. The renewal period ends April 30th every odd year. This package consists of the 6-hour mandatory Core A & Core B course as well as your choice of one of our best-selling 6-hour elective courses.
Mandatory:
- Illinois Core CE: Core A & B-License Law, Escrow, Agency & Fair Housing – This six hour course requirement combines Illinois real estate license law and rules with important federal laws, including the Fair Housing Act.
Pick ONE Optional Elective:
- Property Management and Managing Risk – This practical approach to property management explores the major functions of practitioners. This course will help you juggle property management and sales with managing liability in today’s litigious society.
- Real Estate Finance Today – Building on strong finance principles, this course introduces residential real estate financing basics and mortgage lending trends. The material will review new affordable loan products, government influences on real estate finance, and special financing alternatives, including seller financing and loans for self-employed borrowers.

Proctored Exam Information
The Illinois Real Estate Division regulations require a proctored final exam for all courses. Kaplan Real Estate Schools make this as easy as possible. You will simply arrange for a proctor and we will send you an Exam Pack in the mail. It will contain comprehensive instructions to guide you through the complete process.
Online Courses: These interactive courses are accessed via the Internet and can be enjoyed whether you have a dial up 56K or high speed connection to the Internet. Internet Explorer (PC) versions 5.5 or greater is recommended and supported. We also support Firefox (PC & Mac) & Opera (PC & Mac) browsers. We do not support IE on Mac, Netscape, or the AOL built in browser.
