IL Core A: Agency, License Law & Escrow
3 hours of Mandatory Illinois Continuing Education
|
|
The business of real estate hinges on the concept of agency, where designated real estate professionals represent the needs of the buyer and/or the seller. This representation assists in performing the needed steps to enable the sale of real property between the seller and the buyer. Licensees are critical in fulfilling the needs of clients, customers and consumers and their ability to understand agency law, licensee laws and escrow requirements will ensure that the transactions will be completed successfully. This course will fulfill your real estate continuing education requirement by walking you through the duties of licensees and the potential penalties for non-compliance.
The state of IL requires that you take a proctored final exam. Click here for proctoring instructions.
This course is offered through The CEShop, Inc., but all other bonus materials are offered exclusively by Ilinois Real Estate School Online.

Per Illinois guidelines, you will be allowed to attempt the proctored final exam on each of your courses twice (70% passing rate). If you fail the first attempt, you will be able to take a second attempt within 30 days of your first failed attempt. If you fail the second and final attempt, you will need to start your course over from the beginning. You may designate your own exam proctor. Click here for instructions.
Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five (5) years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Licensees are encouraged to retain copies of their Certificates of Completion in the event that they are audited by the state. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate(s) of Completion with your renewal.
Real estate course completions are recorded with the Illinois Division of Real Estate each business day. It may take 2-4 business days from the time we report your hours before the Commission updates your license and/or updates their website with the hours.
